Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Hit With $27 Million Dollar Lawsuit
Rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are in the news again, as a former associate has filed a $27 million dollar lawsuit against the members.
Roland Brown filed the lawsuit yesterday (April 28th) accusing the group of breach of contract, over unpaid royalties related to a Mo Thugs Records album.
The lawsuit was filed in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Please in Cuyahoga County,
According to the lawsuit, Roland Brown wrote two songs on the multi-platinum album Mo Thugs Family Scriptures.
According to Roland Brown, he wrote the songs "Take Your Time" and "Here With Me" by the female group Tre.
The album, which was released in November of 1996, is currently being sold on various outlets, including the Internet.
The lawsuit claims Mo Thugs Inc. never paid a dime in royalties, despite the fact that the album sold over 1 million copies and spawned Mo Thug: Family Reunion, which also moved over 1 million units.
Roland Brown seeks $24 million dollars in damages and $3 million in mechanical royalties for the single, music video and album Mo Thugs Family Scriptures.

Cam'ron Reveals He Wrote Lil Cease's Verse On "Crush On You"
Killa airs out details about one of his early ghostwriting exploits.
Dipset head honcho Cam'ron recently revealed that he was responsible for writing one of Lil' Cease's most well-known verses.
In an interview with Hot 97's DJ Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg on their Juan Epstein podcast, Cam revealed that he wrote Cease's rhymes on Lil' Kim's 1996 track "Crush on You."
“What happened was, [Untertainment CEO Lance] Un [Rivera] gave Mase $30,000 to write five songs for Lil’ Cease at that time and Mase gave me $5,000 of the 30 to write one or two of the songs,” explained Killa. “I wrote the ‘Crush on You’ song and they ended up keeping it for Lil’ Kim album but it was really for Lil’ Cease. The original ‘Crush on You’ is all Lil’ Cease, Lil’ Kim isn’t even on the record.”
Unfortunately for Cam, he did not received any residuals from the track, which peaked at No. 2 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music charts in 1997.

Cam'ron Preps "Killa Season 2" and "Cousin Bang" For Fourth Quarter
In addition to the many Diplomats and U.N. projects on deck, Cam'ron says Queen Latifah and Shakim will help him distribute two more movies this year.
Despite being prone to the occasional long hiatus,Cam’ron should be very busy for the rest of 2011. HisGunz ‘N’ Butta album with Vado is currently available in stores and online, and he says the Diplomats are also recording their upcoming Interscope reunion album. As all these projects are developing, Cam plans to reprise a few of his cult movie roles.
“We’re working on the movie Cousing Bang—that’ll be out this October,” Cam recently told Terrence and Rocsi of BET’s “106 & Park.” The character Cousin Bang, who last appeared in 2009 during an extended video version of “I Used To Get It In Ohio,” will apparently be spun off into a separate project. “Killa Season 2 comes out this December. Shout out to Queen Latifah and Shakim for helping us out with that.”
Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere have previously worked together on the movies Just Wright,Beauty Shop and The Perfect Holiday and Bringing Down the House. They will likely be helping Cam distribute the follow up to his 2006 movie, and it appears Cam appreciates the independence the duo affords him.
“I kinda cheated in Paid In Full,” Cam’ron added. “Dame [Dash] produced it, so I got favoritism to get the part. I like doing my own movies.”
